Get Medicare Supplement Insurance, more popularly called Medigap because it’s an insurance that basically covers the gaps in your original Medicare. It works in support of Medicare. All Medigap policies cover a minimum of 365 additional days of hospital coverage, coverage of the hospital coinsurance, and covers first 3 pints of blood. After June 2010, additional benefits included hospice benefit, which pays 5% coinsurance prescription drugs and respite care charged during hospice stay.

In addition, there are Medigap policies made available recently that covers emergency care when travelling overseas.

Growing old is a reality that concerns us all, but with Medigap at least you have one less issue to worry about.
